The Greatest Hummus Recipe Ever!
Claiming to be the greatest hummus recipe ever, try it for yourself, and see if you don't agree!
Ingredients
- 1 can Chickpeas (reserve 1 teaspoon of liquid & a few chickpeas)
- 1/3 cup Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Lemon (juice from)
- 1 tablespoon Tahini
- 1 Large Garlic Clove (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Sumac (for garnish)
Directions
Step 1

Drain one can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) reserving 1 teaspoon of liquid. Set a few chickpeas aside for garnishing at the end. |
Step 2

Place chickpeas and olive oil in a food processor and pulse for 10 seconds. Scrape down sides, add lemon juice and tahini. Pulse again to fully incorporate. |
Step 3

Add garlic and salt and pulse until creamy smooth. If necessary, add a little more olive oil until you reach a nice, creamy consistency. |
Step 4

Spoon hummus into a bowl and swirl with a small spatula or spoon. Garnish with a dash of olive oil, chickpeas and a sprinkling of sumac. |
Step 5
|
Serve with fresh vegetables or gluten-free pita bread. |
